what is yoga ?
yoga is practised by over 320 million people every day around the world and remains the most enduring wellbeing practice of all time.
a yoga class consists of mindful movement, breathing, meditation, wisdom and rest. after the experience, you can expect to feel energised yet relaxed.
yoga can make you stronger, calmer and improve your sleep.
we live in an age which is very busy, and we tend to be ‘on’ a lot of the time. yoga is an opportunity to come into the body, move, breathe and come back to finding balance in your life.
this ancient practice has been helping people for thousands of years and is a perfect tonic for modern life.
why start yoga?
people come to beginners’ yoga classes for lots of different reasons…
• some come to increase their flexibility and strength, sometimes after an illness or injury.
• some come to just take time for themselves to empty their mind, breathe deeply and relax amongst a likeminded bunch of people.
whatever your reason for wanting to try yoga, you will discover that every Kula class is carefully crafted with you in mind.
for many, yoga becomes a lifelong journey. it’s a neverending means of discovering ways to strengthen, soothe, and heal your body and mind in ways that will always surprise and uplift you.
don’t be daunted by the experience, or worried that you won’t be ‘good enough’, by its very nature, yoga is a wonderfully inclusive practice, especially for beginners – and we welcome students of all ages and abilities, from all walks of life.
